Christopher practises commercial litigation with an emphasis on contractual, shareholder and priority disputes. His experience includes: civil fraud claims, collection matters, negotiable instrument litigation (promissory notes, bills of exchange and letters of credit), oppression and appraisal remedy applications, commercial and residential lease disputes, purchase and sale of land claims, mortgage enforcement as well as injunctions in both a commercial and an employment context (including Mareva, Anton Pillar and Norwich Pharamacal orders). He has represented individuals, companies and financial institutions from small credit unions to many Schedule I banks and multi-national lenders.
Christopher's practice has taken him before all levels of court in Ontario and many of its tribunals. He has successfully represented his clients on appeals to the Ontario Divisional Court and Court of Appeal, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.
After receiving degrees in English Common Law and Québec Civil Law, Christopher was called to the New York State Bar in 1994. He received his Master of Laws degree, with a thesis focused upon constitutional litigation, in 1995, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. He practiced with several large firms in downtown Toronto prior to joining Wilson Vukelich in 2008. He is a member of the Canadian, American, and New York Bar Associations.
When not in the office, Christopher enjoys attending CFL football games or being with his family in Quebec or France.
