Heather practices corporate and commercial law in the Business Law Group. In addition to providing general corporate advice to clients, Heather has extensive expertise in negotiating and implementing commercial transactions including shareholder arrangements, acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, strategic alliances (including partnerships and joint ventures) and reorganizations. Heather has acted for entrepreneurs, private companies, public companies and institutional clients.
Heather's practice also encompasses information technology including trade-mark prosecution and licensing, as well as other e-commerce matters including software licensing and advising on matters for software developers, hardware vendors, IT service providers and companies where business relies on technology.
Heather currently sits on the board of directors of the York Technology Association. She is also a registered trade-mark agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.
Heather spends her evenings training her two dressage horses Sirlana and Zhivago and enjoys spending weekends at her island cottage with her husband.
