Live Online Training Session – Employer Webinar: AODA Training

January 25, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 pm

Trainers – Dan Condon and Christine Ashton

Based on the ongoing popularity of our training webinars, we will now be providing a live online training session on “AODA Training”.

Since its enactment, The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (the “AODA”) has established numerous obligations for all workplaces in order to improve access to goods and services for people with disabilities.

As of January 2017, all employers (including those with less than 50 employees) will have to satisfy the following requirements:

  • create and maintain an AODA policy;
  • provide AODA training to employees;
  • allow for AODA feedback from the public;
  • allow for accessible public information;
  • develop and maintain accessible employment practices; and
  • fulfill the AODA reporting requirements.

In order to assist workplaces in ensuring they are AODA compliant, we will be providing an AODA Training Webinar.

There are two fee options that you can select for this webinar. First, you can opt to only have access to the live webinar and a copy of the training test. Under this option, you will need to ensure that your employees take and pass the test and that their training is recorded. Alternatively, you can elect to receive full training certification. Under this option, in addition to having access to the live webinar, we will also provide your employees with the training test, and provide certificates to those employees who have successfully completed it.

No matter which fee option you select, you will be provided with a recording of the webinar, which can be viewed later by other and new employees.

If this webinar does not suit your needs, our seminars can be tailored. Further, if you have not satisfied your other AODA obligations, please contact our firm for assistance.
