Biography

Andy has been a partner at the firm since 2007. Andy's practice involves the structuring, documentation and negotiation of lending transactions, securitization transactions, project financing transactions and other specialized financing transactions. He has developed a particular expertise in the fields of asset/equipment finance and leasing and energy retrofit financing.

Andy has practised in the financial services industry for more than 20 years.  He began his career with a major Canadian chartered bank as a relationship manager for several years.  He then joined a Bay Street firm in 1989 where he capitalized on his banking experience and established a practice in the financial services field.  Andy is recognized as a leading practitioner by his peers as one of the best banking and finance lawyers in Canada in Best Lawyers International and as a leading practitioner in Asset Equipment Financing/Leasing by Lexpert.

Andy is a member of the legal committee of the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association and a member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association.  He is currently counsel for Epilepsy Toronto (an organization with which he has been involved for 20 years) and counsel for the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance, an organization for which he was the founding President.
