Biography
Melanie joined the Business Law group as an associate lawyer in 2023, following the completion of her articles at the firm. Melanie is developing a broad practice in corporate and commercial law, including assisting clients in setting up and maintaining their corporations, drafting shareholder agreements, and implementing mergers and acquisitions. Melanie is also assisting the Trademark Agents within the firm with various trademark matters including applications, amendments, and responding to office actions from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.
Involvement & Recognition
Prior to completing her legal studies at Queen’s Law, Melanie completed a Bachelor of Arts in North American Studies at McGill University. During her time at McGill, Melanie studied abroad at the University of Geneva in Switzerland.
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and practicing yoga and Pilates. Melanie is an avid snow-skier and enjoys travelling and exploring new places.
