Biography
Gwen's practice is concentrated in the estate, trusts and taxation area, focusing on trust and estate planning and business succession planning. Gwen has a particular interest in the area of charity law including charitable giving, and acts for both charities and donors. Gwen has written and spoken on various topics relating to estate planning, post-mortem planning and estate administration, including Osgoode Hall Law School Professional Development, the Law Society of Upper Canada and STEP Canada. Gwen recently served as a member of the committee formed for the Uniform Law Conference of Canada, Access to Digital Assets by Fiduciaries project and is currently serving on the planning committee for the STEP National Conference.
Involvement & Recognition
Gwen is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Ontario Bar Association; Tax Law, Estates and Trusts and Charity and Non-Profit Subsections.
In May of 2017, Gwen was designated by Lexpert as a leading practitioner in Estates & Personal Tax Planning.
