Shaliney joined Wilson Vukelich as an associate lawyer in 2021 after completing her articles at the firm. Shaliney’s practice is divided between litigation and corporate law, with a primary focus on tax litigation, intellectual property, and other related matters.
As an articling student, Shaliney was involved in various litigation, which included assisting with representing individuals and corporations in appeals before the Tax Court of Canada. In addition, Shaliney assisted with numerous trademark applications.
Shaliney completed a Dual J.D. at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. During her time in law school, Shaliney interned at the Third Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan, volunteered at an Immigration Law Clinic and participated in moot court competitions on both sides of the border.
Involvement & Recognition
Shaliney is a member of the Advocates Society, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Law Society of Ontario, and the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto.
Shaliney enjoys travelling and has been on trips to Austria, Bermuda, Croatia, England, France, Hungary, India, Italy and several Caribbean islands. In her spare time, Shaliney enjoys going on adventures and trying out new hobbies.
