Ron practices corporate and commercial law in the Business Law Group. In addition to providing general corporate/commercial law advice to clients, Ron has extensive expertise advising start-ups and growth-stage companies in negotiating and implementing commercial transactions including corporate finance structures (debt, equity and alternative financing structures), shareholder arrangements, acquisitions, dispositions, mergers and reorganizations. Ron also has extensive expertise in negotiating shareholder and partnership disputes.
Ron's practice also encompasses e-commerce matters including software licensing and advising on matters for software developers, IT service providers and companies where their business relies on technology.
Corporate counsel to many start-ups, growth-stage companies, and SMEs in the Tech, Healthcare, Cannabis, Hospitality Services, Entertainment and Manufacturing industries. Ron has firsthand knowledge of what it takes to start your own business and the various challenges along the way, including raising capital, shareholder issues and employment law matters, and is an investor in many start-ups.

As a former NHLPA certified agent, Ron continues to be active in the hockey world advising clients on their career and life after hockey.
Ron sits on the board of directors for TechConnex, a dynamic member-driven community offering opportunities for peer collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing essential to the development of your business and your people.
Ron spends his spare time with his son and daughter, and plays as much golf as he can.
